The film is produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/2020\/12\/devon-franklin-to-produce-film-based-on-cory-asburys-song-reckless-love-for-paramount\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DeVon Franklin<\/a> for Franklin Entertainment with a script penned by Lewis Colick\u00a0(<em>October Sky<\/em>)\u00a0and Linda Yvette Ch\u00e1vez (<em>Gentefied<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <em>Flamin&#8217; Hot<\/em>\u00a0is the inspiring story of Richard Monta\u00f1ez, the Frito Lay janitor who channeled his Mexican American heritage and upbringing to turn the iconic Flamin&#8217; Hot Cheetos into a snack that disrupted the food industry and became a global pop culture phenomenon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously announced stars\u00a0Jesse Garcia (<em>Quincea\u00f1era<\/em>) and\u00a0Annie Gonzalez\u00a0(<em>Gentefied<\/em>) headline the cast as Richard and Judy Monta\u00f1ez. Rounding out the ensemble of stage and screen actors:\u00a0Dennis Haysbert (<em>Far From Heaven<\/em>),\u00a0Emilio Rivera\u00a0(<em>Venom<\/em>),\u00a0Tony Shalhoub\u00a0(<em>The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>),\u00a0Matt Walsh\u00a0(<em>Veep<\/em>),\u00a0Pepe Serna\u00a0(<em>Scarface<\/em>), Bobby Soto\u00a0(<em>Narcos<\/em>),\u00a0Jimmy Gonzales\u00a0(<em>The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It<\/em>), and TikTok sensation\u00a0Brice Gonzalez. Also joining the cast are\u00a0Vanessa Martinez\u00a0(<em>Warrior<\/em>), Fabian Alomar\u00a0 (<em>Cholos Try<\/em>),\u00a0Mario Ponce\u00a0(<em>Cholos Try<\/em>), and\u00a0Hunter Jones\u00a0(Gotham).
