Zo\u00eb Kravitz<\/strong> will be starring in\u00a0Phatty Patty,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0an animated series from writer\u00a0India Sage Wilson<\/a>\u00a0(CW\u2019s\u00a0Dynasty<\/em>). Kravitz will also serve as executive producer via her production company This Is Important<\/em>. Will Smith<\/a> and Jada Pinkett Smith\u2019s\u00a0Westbrook Studios\u00a0will produce the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Deadline,\u00a0Phatty Patty<\/em>\u00a0is based on Wilson\u2019s life experience growing up as a bi-racial girl, trying to find her place in the world. During the early 2000s, at the height of Britney vs. Christina, 9-year-old Patty Palecki\u2019s dreams of stardom are crushed when she discovers Mick Jagger is not her biological father. Inspired by Wilson\u2019s own journey toward self-acceptance as a biracial girl in a predominantly white community, the series chronicles Patty; a fourth-grader fresh out of f*cks to give, on her quest to shine brighter than her light up Sketchers.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

No word yet on which network the show will land, but according to\u00a0Deadline<\/em>, it will be shopped around to streaming platforms this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Westbrook Studios Co-President, Head of Television Terence Carter and David Boorstein will executive produce the series on behalf of Westbrook alongside Kravitz, and Wilson. Matthew Tinker (The Undoing)<\/em>\u00a0and Annakate Chappell (Big Sky)<\/em>\u00a0also executive produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kravitz, known for her work in big screen franchises such as Mad Max<\/em> and Fantastic Beasts<\/em> and in the Emmy-winning series Big Little Lies<\/em>, most recently starred in and executive produced the series adaptation of High Fidelity<\/em> for Hulu. Next up, Kravitz will star as Catwoman in Matt Reeves and Warner Bros.\u2019 upcoming 2022 film The Batman,<\/em> and also will star in the HBO Max Original feature Kimi,<\/em> with Steven Soderbergh directing. Kravitz also co-wrote and will make her feature directorial debut with genre thriller Pussy Island.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wilson\u2019s feature, Little Witches<\/em> is in development at MiMo Studios. Tinker produced HBO\u2019s The Undoing<\/em> and Hulu\u2019s Nine Perfect Strangers.<\/em> He is currently executive producing Love And Death<\/em> for HBO Max, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons.
