Robinson\u2019s production company, Tiny Reparations, led by Jose Acevedo, will serve as nonwriting executive producer. Co-executive producer Chioke Nassor will direct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Starring Robinson and inspired by her bestselling book \u201cEverything\u2019s Trash, But It\u2019s Okay,\u201d the series follows Phoebe, a 30-something podcast star navigating her messy life. Forced to grow up when her older brother Jayden emerges as a leading political candidate, she relies on her friends and close-knit family to help her figure out adulthood.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 369 369'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/5168-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"Everything\u2019s Trash\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-156599\" width=\"369\" height=\"369\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPhoebe has one of the most unique and hilariously sharp voices in the business,\u201d said Tara Duncan, president, Freeform and Onyx Collective. \u201c\u2018Everything\u2019s Trash\u2019 is the perfect addition to the Freeform slate, bringing a distinct point of view to a woman navigating adulthood on her own terms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI feel like Whoopi Goldberg\u2019s choir at the end of \u2018Sister Act 2\u2019 when they won the competition! Extremely grateful!\u201d said Robinson. \u201cWe\u2019re going to make something special that you won\u2019t want to miss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The series also stars <strong>Jordan Carlos<\/strong> (\u201cFirst Wives Club\u201d) as Jayden, Phoebe\u2019s extremely intelligent, Blerd-y older brother with big dreams for his community, who has recently emerged as a leading political candidate. Their boundary-less relationship must change as Phoebe\u2019s wild yet entertaining behavior threatens to overshadow his Barack Obama-esque aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toccarra Cash<\/strong> (\u201cStation 19,\u201d \u201cYounger\u201d) will portray Malika, Phoebe\u2019s savvy, smart and beautiful \u201ccode-switch queen\u201d podcast producer. As Phoebe\u2019s work wife and ride-or-die friend, Malika tries to balance wanting Phoebe to grow up with encouraging her to be messy because, hey, the mess pays the bills and is funny AF. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nneka Okafor<\/strong> (\u201cGod Friended Me\u201d) will portray Jessie, Phoebe\u2019s sister-in-law, who\u2019s a former socialite-turned-feminist and college professor. Jessie worries that she is the only one in her in-laws\u2019 family that has the strength to let Phoebe know that some of her shenanigans are dangerous to her husband\u2019s career and too influential on her daughter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Moses Storm<\/strong> (\u201cSunnyside\u201d) will portray Michael, Phoebe\u2019s BFF, roommate and friend since freshman year of college. He is a video game livestreamer who is not ashamed to promote his TikTok whenever he can.
