Jordan<\/strong> will be co-starring and producing the next chapter of Warner Bros.&#8217; post-apocalyptic\u00a0action thriller, &#8216;I Am Legend,&#8217; making this the first big film the two will be working on together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the Richard Matheson\u2019s 1954 novel for the original 2007 movie, also is returning to pen the follow-up and produce as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plot details for the &#8216;I Am Legend&#8217; sequel, of course, are being kept under wraps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo are producing via their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/outlier-society\/\">Outlier Society<\/a>\u00a0banner. Smith and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/westbrook-studios\/\">Westbrook Studios<\/a>\u00a0Co-President\/Head of Motion Pictures Jon Mone will produce the project, with Ryan Shimazaki overseeing on behalf of Westbrook Studios. James Lassiter will serve as EP. Goldsman and Greg Lessans will also produce via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/weed-road-pictures\/\">Weed Road Pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Westbrook Studios film projects include\u00a0<em>King Richard<\/em>, based on the life of Richard Williams, father to tennis greats Serena and Venus, as well as the upcoming high-profile projects\u00a0<em>Emancipation<\/em>, which sold to Apple TV+ in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2020\/06\/emancipation-will-smith-antoine-fuqua-apple-warner-bros-130-million-dollar-bidding-virtual-cannes-record-setting-deal-1202971017\/\">largest film festival acquisition deal in history<\/a>; sports drama\u00a0<em>Redd Zone<\/em>, starring Jada Pinkett Smith at Netflix and based on the true story of Tia Magee and her sons; the hip-hop musical feature\u00a0<em>Summertime,<\/em>\u00a0based on Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff\u2019s hit song for Sony Pictures\u2019 Screen Gems;\u00a0<em>Clean Air<\/em>, a joint project from Westbrook, NASCAR and the Chainsmokers; action-thriller\u00a0<em>Fast &amp; Loose,<\/em>\u00a0starring Smith and directed by David Leitch; and\u00a0<em>The Soul Superhero<\/em>, a live-action musical fantasy film with a screenplay co-written by Kwame Kwei-Armah and songwriter-producer Freddy Wexler and based on an original story by Wexler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weed Road Pictures is the production company founded by producer, director and Oscar-winning writer Goldsman. Along with the original\u00a0<em>I Am Legend,\u00a0<\/em>it has produced films including\u00a0<em>Deep Blue Sea, Constantine, Mr. &amp; Mrs. Smith, Hancock, Fair Game, Lone Survivor\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Without Remorse.\u00a0<\/em>Upcoming films include\u00a0<em>Brilliance\u00a0<\/em>starring Smith;\u00a0<em>Major Matt Mason,\u00a0<\/em>starring Tom Hanks;\u00a0<em>The Billion Dollar Spy,\u00a0<\/em>directed by Amma Asante;\u00a0<em>Firestarter,<\/em>\u00a0directed by Keith Thomas;\u00a0<em>Flight,<\/em>\u00a0directed by Johannes Roberts;\u00a0<em>Caster<\/em>, an adaptation of the YA book by Elsie Chapman;\u00a0<em>Back to the Outback<\/em>, an animated comedy for Netflix; and\u00a0<em>Meet Cute,<\/em>\u00a0starring Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson.
