He was involved in protecting a heroin operation run by Antonio \u201cBrill\u201d Shropshire. Gondo served as an information line and protector to Shropshire, and took little effort to hide this connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 1 1'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/mckinley-belcher-iii-darrell-britt-gibson-jon-bernthal-josh-charles-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"McKinley Belcher III talks 'We Own This City' \n\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-161865\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Executive produced by\u00a0George Pelecanos (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hbo.com\/the-deuce\">The Deuce<\/a>)<\/em>\u00a0and David Simon (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hbo.com\/the-wire\"><em>The Wire<\/em><\/a>) &#8212; and based on the book by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton &#8212;\u00a0<em>We Own This City<\/em>\u00a0is a six-hour, limited series chronicling the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department&#8217;s Gun Trace Task Force.
