Virtual programming was still available for those viewing from home, but the return to theater was joyous for viewers and filmmakers alike. During Tribeca 2022, blackfilm.com correspondent Koku Tona had the honor of attending the in-person premiere of the &#8216;Game Change Game&#8217; documentary that takes us through the environment and emotion in the NBA bubble during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Game Change Game&#8217; walks us through times of uncertainty, as players choose to use their voices to amplify the injustices of the nation. Co-directors&nbsp;<strong>Maxime Quoilin<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Spike Jordan&nbsp;<\/strong>provide unfettered access to the players union: examining the anxieties and hopes of the players through interviews, and even include first person footage from the subjects themselves. Quoilin and Jordan take us from the NBA bubble to the social uprisings of the Black Lives Matter movement, at a time when the personal could no longer be apolitical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Including interviews with&nbsp;<strong>CJ McCollum, JaVale McGee, Chris Paul,&nbsp;<\/strong>and many other notable figures, the documentary moves fluidly through the perspectives of the players, to those of artists, activists, and survivors of police brutality.
