SHOWTIME will celebrate its new thriller \u201cLet the Right One In\u201d<\/a> at New York Comic Con coinciding with its streaming premiere launch on Friday, October 7. A special screening of the first episode will kick off the evening at 8 p.m. in room 405, followed by a panel at 9 p.m.with the entire cast gathering for the first time, including stars Demi\u00e1n Bichir (\u201cA Better Life\u201d), Tony winner Anika Noni Rose<\/a> (\u201cDreamgirls\u201d,\u202f \u201cPower\u201d), Grace Gummer (\u201cMr. Robot\u201d), Madison Taylor Baez (\u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d), Kevin Carroll\u202f(\u201cSnowfall\u201d),\u202fIan Foreman\u202f(\u201cMerry Wish-Mas\u201d), Jacob Buster\u202f(\u201cColony\u201d) and Nick Stahl (\u201cFear the Walking Dead\u201d). Both the screening and panel are available to attend exclusively by Comic Con badge holders on a first-come, first-serve basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by the Emmy-nominated drama series \u201cYellowjackets\u201d, the party invites fans to step deep into the woods to mix, mingle and dance like only the trees are watching. Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, \u201cLet the Right One In\u201d centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose lives were changed 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive. With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point,\u202f\u201dLet the Right One In\u201d will upend genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength and compassion. \u201cLet the Right One In\u201d is executive produced by award-winning playwright, writer and producer Andrew Hinderaker (\u201cAway\u201d,\u202f \u201cPenny Dreadful\u201d) who also serves as showrunner. Seith Mann (\u201cHomeland\u201d, \u201c#FreeRayshawn\u201d, \u201cRaising Dion\u201d) is also an executive producer and directed the pilot, as well as multiple episodes. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are executive producers for Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership). Alex Yves Brunner, Simon Oakes and Carl Molinder also serve as executive producers. Alissa Bachner is co-executive producing, and Bichir\u202fserves as a producer on the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (\u201cNarcos\u201d), \u201cYellowjackets\u201d<\/a> stars Emmy\u00ae nominee and Critics Choice Award winner Melanie Lynskey (\u201cCastle Rock\u201d), Oscar\u00ae and Emmy nominee Juliette Lewis (\u201cCamping\u201d), Emmy nominee Christina Ricci (\u201cZ: The Beginning of Everything\u201d) and Tawny Cypress (\u201cUnforgettable\u201d). Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, \u201cYellowjackets\u201d is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they\u2019ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over. Season one also starred Ella Purnell (Sweetbitter), Samantha Hanratty (\u201cShameless\u201d), Sophie Thatcher (\u201cProspect\u201d), Jasmin Savoy Brown (\u201cThe Leftovers\u201d), Sophie N\u00e9lisse (The Book Thief), Steven Krueger (The Originals) and Warren Kole (\u201cShades of Blue\u201d). Lauren Ambrose (\u201cSix Feet Under\u201d, \u201cServant”) and Simone Kessell (\u201cObi-Wan Kenobi\u201d) join season two as the adult versions of Lottie Matthews and Van, respectively, with Elijah Wood (\u201cThe Lord of the Rings\u201d trilogy) recurring in a season long guest arc.
