Director and screenwriter Ryan Coogler\u2019s<\/strong> <\/em>horror drama Sinners<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>has earned an incredible 16 Oscar<\/a> nominations, a new Academy record. The total surpasses All About Eve<\/em> (1950), Titanic<\/em> (1997), and La La Land<\/em> (2016), which each previously held the record with 14 nominations. Coogler marks a rare trifecta with nominations in three major categories for Sinners<\/em>: Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Picture as one of the film\u2019s producers, underscoring his groundbreaking, creative leadership.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan<\/strong>, who lands his first acting Oscar nomination (Best Actor, Sinners<\/em>) and other first-timers Wunmi Mosaku<\/strong> (Best Supporting Actress, Sinners<\/em>) and Teyana Taylor <\/strong>(Best Supporting Actress, One Battle After Another<\/em>), who are joined by Delroy Lindo<\/strong>, finally earning his first Oscar nomination (Best Supporting Actor,<\/em> Sinners<\/em>) after decades of acclaimed, awards-recognized work across SAG, Emmy, and critics\u2019 choice honors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
