Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams, and Robbie Jones added to ‘The Marriage Counselor’<\/strong>by Wilson Morales<\/p>\n

Blackfilm.com<\/strong> <\/a>has confirmed that Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams<\/strong>, and Robbie Jones<\/strong> have been added to Tyler Perry<\/strong>‘s latest film, ‘The Marriage Counselor<\/a><\/strong>,’ joining Jurnee Smollett<\/a><\/strong> and Kim Kardashian<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Headed to Hotlanta to meet mogul Tyler Perry for the 1st time & get fitted for a role in his new film. I’m sure fashion will be fab!,”<\/strong> stated Williams on her Twitter account.<\/p>\n

Based on his stage play, the film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.<\/p>\n

Jurnee Smollett plays the marriage counselor and Kardashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a big city makeover and new confidence as she struggles with her personal issues.<\/p>\n

Gross will play the role of Brice, Judith’s husband, while Williams plays her mom.<\/p>\n

Gross, who’s best known for his role as Calvin Payne in the TBS sitcom ‘Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,’<\/strong> was last seen on the big screen opposite Forest Whitaker<\/strong> in the romantic comedy ‘Our Family Wedding,’<\/strong> His next film will be in Matthew A. Cherry<\/strong>‘s film, ‘The Last Fall,’<\/strong><\/a> co-starring Nicole Beharie, Keith David,<\/strong> and Harry Lennix<\/strong>. The California native can also be seen in the web series ‘Milk + Honey,’<\/strong><\/a> which is produced by Idris Elba<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Williams currently stars as Renee Perry in ABC’s ‘Desperate Housewives,’ <\/strong>and was last seen opposite Miley Cyrus<\/strong> in ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie.’<\/strong> Her other film credits include ‘Johnson Family Vacation,’<\/strong> the remake of ‘Shaft,’ <\/strong>and ‘Soul Food.’<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perry and partners Ozzie Areu <\/strong>and Paul Hall <\/strong> are producing ‘The Marriage Counselor,’<\/strong> which just started shooting in Atlanta, Georgia this week.<\/p>\n
