Imprint Entertainment <\/strong>(TWILIGHT, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) has optioned the film rights to Pam Grier<\/strong>\u2019s autobiography Foxy, My Life in Three Acts<\/strong>. Eunetta Boone<\/strong> to adapt. Boone most recently scripted Who is DORIS PAYNE?<\/strong> with Halle Berry<\/strong> attached to star. Imprint Entertainment\u2019s Michael Becker will produce with Bennie Richburg<\/strong> and Alfred Sapse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Foxy\u2019 is Pam Grier\u2019s account of her life: past and present. It reveals her relationships with Richard Pryor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar<\/strong>, and Freddie Prinze Sr<\/strong>.; nights out with John Lennon, Harry Nilsson<\/strong>, and Peter Lawford<\/strong>; and her ongoing battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Foxy\u2019 succeeds at a stark impression of Grier\u2019s courage and inner strength without the use of rose-colored glasses. Imprint Entertainment looks forward to bringing this triumphant story to life,\u201d says Becker.<\/p>\n

Grier, the iconic African American female sex symbol and action star from the 70\u2032s, launched an era of films that became known as \u201cBlaxploitation\u201d movies \u2013 boasting predominantly black casts for black audiences. 40 years later Grier is an internationally celebrated award-winning actress who is beloved by all audiences. As Quoted by Director Quentin Tarantino <\/strong>while promoting his 1997 film JACKIE BROWN<\/strong> \u201cPam Grier might have been the first female action star.\u201d Pam Grier not only opened doors for African American women but for women of all races.<\/p>\n

Grier’s most notable films include Black Mama, White Mama, Scream Blacula Scream, Foxy Brown, Friday Foster<\/strong>, and Above the Law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
