With a few weeks away from the June 8 release of Ridley Scott<\/strong>‘s Prometheus<\/a><\/strong>, Twentieth Century Fox has given Blackfilm.com<\/a><\/strong> an exclusive look of Idris Elba<\/strong>‘s character, Captain Janek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prometheus<\/a><\/strong> takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.<\/p>\n

According to the production notes, Janek, the captain of the Prometheus, is described by Scott as an “old sea dog” – an officer in the classic tradition, and an alpha male whose primary mission is to protect the ship and crew. His ambitions and vocation provide a sharp contrast to the heady goals of Shaw (Rapace) and Holloway (Marshall-Green) and the venal corporate interests of Vickers (Theron).<\/p>\n

The sci-fi thriller also stars Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris<\/strong>, and Guy Pearce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
