ABC has put in development <strong>MILA 2.0<\/strong>, a sci-fi thriller about a young woman who discovers that she is a Mobile Intel Life-like Android, Mila, an experiment in artificial intelligence created by the U.S. government and her scientist mother, who kidnapped her when she was found to have human emotions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dave DiGilio<\/strong> will write the drama project based on the book Mila 2.0 by <strong>Debra Driza<\/strong>, which is being published in March by Katherine Tegen Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. It is planned to be the first in a sci-fi book series. DiGilio executive produces with Shondaland\u2019s Rhimes and <strong>Betsy Beers<\/strong>. ABC Studios, where Shondaland is based, is producing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mila-2.0.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-30799\" title=\"mila 2.0\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 198 300'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mila-2.0-198x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>DiGilio, creator of the ABC series <strong>Traveler<\/strong>, recently sold one-hour post-apocalyptic drama project <strong>Last Hope<\/strong> through Parkes\/MacDonald. In features, he most recently wrote the Tron sequel at Disney. He is with UTA and Industry.<\/p>\n<p>MILA 2.0 joins two other two projects ICM Partners-repped Shondaland has at ABC, comedy <strong>I Hate LA Dudes<\/strong> from writer <strong>Issa Rae <\/strong>and comedic drama <strong>The Mix<\/strong> written by <strong>John Hoffman<\/strong>.
