Delroy Lindo <\/strong>has been tapped to co-star in NBC’s drama pilot Believe<\/em>, The Hollywood Reporter <\/em><\/a>has learned.<\/p>\n

The drama revolves around a young girl in possession of a great gift\/powers — which will come into their own in seven years — and the man who is sprung from prison (Savages<\/em>‘ Jake McLaughlin<\/strong>) to protect her from those trying to hunt her down.<\/p>\n

Lindo will play Winter, a kind man with an honorable agenda posing as a priest who might not be what he seems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alfonso Cuaron<\/strong> (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban<\/em>) and Mark Friedman<\/strong> will pen the Warner Bros. Television pilot and executive produce alongside Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams<\/strong> and Bryan Burk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lindo’s last TV series was The Chicago Code<\/strong> on Fox. Lindo’s film credits include The Cider House Rules <\/em>and Get Shorty<\/em>, earning ensemble SAG Award nominations for both. He’s repped by APA.<\/p>\n
