Nascent specialty distributor Rockstone Releasing has acquired North American theatrical rights to writer\/director H. M. Coakley<\/strong>\u2019s horror\/comedy, HOLLA II<\/strong>, , it was announced today by Rockstone\u2019s President Camille Irons Coakley.<\/p>\n

Rockstone, in conjunction with Floyd\u2019s True Vision Media Group, will release the film April 19th in select theaters, with a wider release planned for the weeks following.<\/p>\n

Coming off its successful run at the 2013 Pan African Film Festival where it screened to a sold-out audience, Holla II <\/strong>is the sequel to Holla and picks up where the original left off. It\u2019s several years later and Monica, played by Kiely Williams (\u201cDisney\u2019s Cheetah Girls \u201d, \u201cThe House Bunny\u201d) and her mother played by Vanessa Bell Calloway (Showtime\u2019s \u201cShameless,\u201d \u201cWhat Love Got to do With It\u201d) has relocated to the south where Monica finds love again. But on the eve of her wedding at a plantation house rumored to be haunted, death and mayhem finds her once again.<\/p>\n

Holla II,\u201cThis time, Killing is Addictive.\u201d <\/strong>Artist and Entrepreneur Monica \u201cDoll Phace\u201d Floyd, who also performs music from her latest album in the film, is financing the release and producing under her True Vision Media Group banner. \u201cI\u2019m absolutely thrilled to be working with Camille and H. M. on Holla II ,\u201d said Floyd. \u201cThey have great ideas and their infectious enthusiasm for making good, fun, entertainment is simply awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coakley adds, \u201cH. M. does an excellent job of creating a sequel that stands on its own while moving the franchise forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film also stars Greg Cipes<\/strong> (\u201cTrue Blood\u201d), Teairra Mari<\/strong> (\u201cLottery Ticket\u201d) and Omar Gooding<\/strong> (\u201cThe Gospel\u201d). Holla II is produced by Coakley, Floyd, and Lanre Idewu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
