Writer\/ Director Jerry LaMothe <\/strong>(Blackout, The Tombs, Amour Infinity) has announced that actors, Eriq Ebouaney and Nonso Anozie<\/strong> are in talks\/negotiations to join the starring cast of his Brooklyn\/Haiti-set drama, The Promise keeper.<\/p>\n

Media mogul Mona Scott Young<\/strong> will be executive producing , under her Monami Entertainment banner.<\/p>\n

The Promise Keeper is a suspense drama about two childhood best friends from Brooklyn, that spans over two decades, which showcases the vastly different directions they each takes in life. When one gets deported back to Haiti, the other takes his first ever visit to the island, in search of answers, only months after the tragic earthquake that devastates the country.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The overseas portion of the shoot, will be a co-production with David Belle\u2019s Cine\u2019 institute, operated out of Jacmel Haiti.<\/p>\n

The cast joins S.Epatha Merkerson, Jamie Hector, Garcelle Beauvais, Edwidge Danticat, Jimmy-jean-Louis<\/strong>, Pras<\/strong> of the Fugees and French actress, Stana Roumillac<\/strong> in the film. Renowned photographer, Marc Baptiste is also attached as a producer.<\/p>\n

Event producer\/entrepreneur and philanthropist, Unik Ernest, is on board as an Executive producer.<\/p>\n

French actor Eriq Ebouaney is best known for his portrayal of Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba, in the Raoul peck HBO film, Lumumba<\/strong>. He has since worked with Brian De Palma’s Femme Fatale, Ridley Scott\u2019s Kingdom of Heaven<\/strong> alongside Liam Neeson and Orlando Bloom. He was also featured as “Ice” in the 2008 action film Transporter 3<\/strong> in which he starred opposite Jason Statham<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Brit actor, Nonso is best known for his role as Xaro Xhoan Daxos in last season\u2019s hit HBO series, \u201cGame of Thrones<\/strong>\u201d He\u2019s next to appear in the upcoming NBC series, Dracula<\/strong>. He has appeared in \u201cThe Grey<\/strong>\u201d opposite Liam Neeson, Atonement and recently appeared as Samson on the History channel\u2019s hit mini-series, \u201cThe Bible<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mona Scott Young\u2019s Monami Entertainment is home to Grammy Award winning artist Missy Elliott and VH1\u2019s most popular docu-franchise Love & Hip Hop.<\/strong> Scott-Young\u2019s business and philanthropic achievements have garnered recognition from a variety of prestigious organizations and media outlets. She has been honored by the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music Entertainment, Marketer of the Year by Ad Age Magazine and the National Congress and Convention of Haitian Americans. She currently serves on the board of The Haitian Roundtable and The RSQ Foundation.<\/p>\n

Shooting is scheduled to commence this summer.<\/p>\n

LaMothe wrote directed and produced the 2007 feature, Blackout<\/a><\/strong>, which starred Zoe Zaldana, Micheal B. Jordan<\/strong> and Jeffrey Wright<\/strong>, who also served as producer on the film.<\/p>\n
