Also featured in the film are <strong>Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo, Tika Sumpter, Bryan Callen, Jay Pharoah<\/strong>, and<strong> Bruce McGill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi<\/strong>, who were among several scribes who worked on the original, are making a deal to script a sequel that could be put into production months after the first film opens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Kevin-Hart-and-Ice-Cube-on-Ride-Along-set.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-38413\" title=\"Kevin Hart and Ice Cube on Ride Along set\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 300'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Kevin-Hart-and-Ice-Cube-on-Ride-Along-set-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the past two years, high-school security guard Ben (Hart) has been trying to show decorated APD detective James (Cube) that he\u2019s more than just a video-game junkie who\u2019s unworthy of James\u2019 sister, Angela (Tika Sumpter). When Ben finally gets accepted into the academy, he thinks he\u2019s earned the seasoned policeman\u2019s respect and asks for his blessing to marry Angela. Knowing that a ride along will demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister, James invites him on a shift designed to scare the hell out of the trainee.
