The Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for Lee Daniels<\/strong>‘ The Butler, <\/strong>set for release on August 16.<\/p>\n

The film stars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Liam Neeson, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Robin Williams, James Marsden, Aml Ameen<\/strong> and Liev Schreiber<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Butler is inspired by Wil Haygood\u2019s Washington Post article about an African-American man who served as a butler (Whitaker) to eight Presidents in the White House for over thirty years.<\/p>\n

From this unique vantage point, the film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man\u2019s life and family.<\/p>\n

Robin Williams<\/strong> plays President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Melissa Leo<\/strong> as First Lady Mamie Eisenhower, James Marsden<\/strong> as President John F. Kennedy, Minka Kelly<\/strong> as First Lady Jackie Kennedy, Liev Schreiber <\/strong>as President Lyndon B. Johnson, John Cusack<\/strong> as President Richard M. Nixon, Alan Rickman<\/strong> as President Ronald Reagan, and Jane Fonda<\/strong> as First Lady Nancy Reagan. Also included are Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lenny Kravitz, Colman Domingo<\/strong>, and Terrence Howard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
