The suspense drama, starring <strong>Thandie Newton <\/strong>as morally and emotionally conflicted undercover detective Grace Travis, will begin production on its 10-episode second season late this summer for a 2014 premiere.<\/p>\n<p>The first season of Rogue, from Entertainment One and Greenroom Entertainment, recently finished its run on Audience where DirecTV previously aired new seasons of two acclaimed series it had rescued, Friday Night Lights and Damages.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Rogue-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignleft size-medium wp-image-40705\" title=\"_W4A0751.CR2\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Rogue-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that our first venture into original programming resonated with our subscribers who enthusiastically tuned into Rogue each week,\u201d said Chris Long, DirecTV\u2019s SVP Entertainment and Production. \u201cWe look forward to bringing them another season of Rogue and the chance to experience the next chapter in Grace\u2019s life.\u201d Added eOne TV CEO John Morayniss, \u201cThandie\u2019s incredible performance and edge-of-your-seat excitement, had audiences wanting more.\u201d Rogue is a Canada-UK co-production from eOne, which also handles worldwide rights, and Greenroom, produced in participation with DirectTV. Series creator Matthew Parkhill executive produces with Greenroom\u2019s Nick Hamm and eOne\u2019s Morayniss and Michael Rosenberg.<\/p>\n<p>ROGUE stars<strong> Thandie Newton, Marton Csokas, Joshua Sasse,<\/strong> and <strong>Leah Gibson<\/strong>.
