\"\"<\/a><\/strong> Adepero Oduye <\/strong>will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote\u2019s American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL<\/strong>, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree\u2019s Sundance film, Pariah<\/strong>, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard<\/strong> and Phylicia Rashad<\/strong> in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias<\/strong>. Condola Rashad<\/strong>, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.<\/p>\n

Making her Broadway debut, ADEPERO ODUYE has appeared onstage in Eclipsed at Yale Repertory Theatre and The Bluest Eye at Hartford Stage and Long Wharf Theatre. Oduye can be seen in the upcoming film, Twelve Years a Slave<\/strong>, directed by Steven McQueen<\/strong>, opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor<\/strong> and Brad Pitt<\/strong>. Oduye is a Cornell University graduate.<\/p>\n
