Last night, Blackfilm.com attended the Oxygen Network<\/strong>‘s exclusive screening event for new female-empowered transformation docu-series, My Big Fat Revenge<\/strong>, which premieres on Sept. 3rd at 9\/8c.<\/p>\n

Held at NYC’s Culture Fix, one of the eight episodes was introduced by the Executive Producer of The Biggest Loser & My Big Fat Revenge, JD Roth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After being discounted, humiliated, and rejected because of their weight, these women are ready to take control of their lives, put their painful pasts behind them, and finally stand up to the people who inflicted the hurt. From the girl whose boyfriend proposed with a ring two sizes too small to the girl who was tormented about her size by her childhood dance instructor, these women will get the ultimate chance to get healthy, change their lives for the better, and teach their former offenders the lesson of a lifetime.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With an eye for an eye approach, these ex-boyfriends, former classmates and even family members will get a taste of their own medicine as they’re set up on blind dates, auditions, and nightmare jobs to experience what they put their offenders through. For these transformed women, this is their golden opportunity to settle their scores and hopefully get the apologies they deserve.<\/p>\n

In attendance were some of the cast member of the series Veata Betton, Jennifer Tippie, Bo Sellers<\/strong>, and Tamar Warner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The premiere episode features Jennifer, who met Hiren on a plus-size online dating website. At first Jennifer thought she was living her fairy-tale romance with a man who accepted her, but Hiren soon started suggesting she lose weight, dye her hair blonde and change other physical characteristics. After never introducing her to his friends or family, he finally told her they could never truly be together because she was fat. Now, with her confidence back, Jennifer wants to show him how it feels to have your date be ashamed to be with you; and with the help of a friend, Hiren will be set up on blind date he’ll never forget.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The second story follows Tamar, whose mother tormented her about her weight her entire life. Over the years, Tamar has tried to confront her stubborn mother, but the conversations always turned into arguments. Tamar hopes her mother will finally listen as she tries to show her how painful it was to grow up with someone who constantly taunted and teased her. She hopes inviting her mom to the theater to see a special play will hit close to home and will help repair their relationship.<\/p>\n

After the screening and Q & A with some of the members of the series, Blackfilm.com spoke with Ms. Warner about her participation on the show.<\/p>\n

How did you get attached to the show?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tamar Warner:<\/strong> I’m actually an actress and I had seen it on casting networks, and when I saw the opportunity to be on the show, I said, “This would be great for me.” I needed to lose weight because, previously, it was hard to get roles. When I got the part, it was unbelievable I hardly get that much roles. This is one step closer to my goals and my dreams. It’s not about being an actress, but being a fit healthy woman, and a mother, and a soon-to-be wife. It was so breathtaking and I was estastic. This was a stepping stone and a door to open for my career and me being a mom.<\/p>\n

How physically painful was it going through the process? <\/strong><\/p>\n

TW: <\/strong>It was tough. It was soreness. It was tears. It was sweat. I had got the flu twice and headaches. It was crazy, but that didn’t stop me. My goal was to lose 50 pounds and I lost more than that.<\/p>\n
