Sophina Brown<\/strong>, known for her role as Nikki Betancourt on the CBS drama series Numb3rs<\/strong>, has landed a co-leading role in Bravo\u2019s pilot Girlfriends\u2019 Guide To Divorce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The series follows Abby (Lisa Edelsein<\/strong>), the famous author of a best-selling self-help book series who is hiding the fact that she\u2019s separated from her husband as she starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her early 40s in Los Angeles. Brown will play Abby\u2019s best friend Kate who has to decide whether to stand by her as she\u2019s going through this divorce or risk their years long friendship.<\/p>\n

Janeane Garofalo<\/strong> is also among the cast members, as well as Carrie Fisher, who will make a cameo appearance in the pilot as Abby\u2019s book editor, Cat, who\u2019s got a no prisoners approach to Abby\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

Brown, who is married to actor Henry Simmons<\/strong> (NYPD Blue), has numerous guest appearances on television series and currently has a recurring role in ABC’s Ravenwood, the spin-off of Pretty Little Liars.<\/p>\n
