Deadline<\/a> reports that Victor Rasuk<\/strong>, who recently starred in HBO\u2019s How to Make It In America<\/strong>, is set to join the cast of Fifty Shades Of Grey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He joins a cast that includes Jamie Dornan<\/a><\/strong> as Christian Grey, Dakota Johnson<\/strong> as Anastasia Steele, Jennifer Ehle<\/strong> and Luke Grimes<\/strong> as Christian Grey\u2019s brother, Elliot. Sam Taylor-Johnson<\/strong> will be directing the film adaptation of E L James’ bestseller.<\/p>\n

Rasuk will play Jose, the aspiring photographer and classmate of Anastasia, whose close friendship with the young girl \u2014 he\u2019d like it to be more \u2014 pits him as rival for her affections with Grey, the wealthy businessman whose warped past leaves him with a need to dominate his partners and unable to accept Anastasia on equal terms.<\/p>\n

Rasuk made his film debut in Raising Victor Vargas<\/strong> and was also featured as skateboard pioneer Tony Alva in The Lords Of Dogtown<\/strong>. He also played Dr. Ryan Sanchez on NBC’s ER<\/strong> and will next be seen in Godzilla.<\/p>\n

Universal Pictures and Focus Features acquired the rights to the three books in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy in March 2012. Focus Features will market and distribute the first film in partnership with Universal. \u201cFifty Shades of Grey\u201d has become a global phenomenon and the trilogy has been translated in over 50 languages worldwide since its release. To date, the \u201cFifty Shades\u201d trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide in e-book and print, making it one of the fastest-selling book series ever.<\/p>\n

Fifty Shades of Grey follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. Grey has a dark past who favors S&M relationships. His loyalty to the dominant-submissive subset is tested when he meets the young college graduate Anastasia Steele, who seems like the perfect girl for him. Subsequent novels in the series, \u201cFifty Shades Darker\u201d and \u201cFifty Shades Freed,\u201d explore the couple\u2019s deepening relationship.<\/p>\n
