\"Toni<\/a>Grammy Award-winning artist Toni Braxton<\/strong> will star as singer Darlene Love<\/strong> in Oprah Winfrey<\/strong>‘s OWN\u2019s biopic of the famed pop vocalist.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story<\/strong>\u201d is slated for a December premiere. The film will center around Love\u2019s long career in the music biz, starting out as the key voice behind Phil Spector\u2019s Wall of Sound hits from the 1960s.<\/p>\n

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s first scripted telepic is shepherded by the docu filmmaker Morgan Neville, who was behind last year\u2019s \u201cTwenty Feet from Stardom<\/strong>\u201d feature about Love and other well-known backup singers.<\/p>\n

Darlene Love <\/strong>is also attached to executive produce, is best known as one of the featured backup singer featured in the Oscar winning hit documentary Twenty Feet From Stardom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
