\"Extant<\/a>CBS has released the first official pic for executive producer Steven Spielberg<\/strong>\u2018s CBS\u2019 Sci-Fi Drama \u2018Extant,\u2019<\/strong> starring Halle Berry<\/strong> and set to premiere on Wednesday, July 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET\/PT)<\/p>\n

Produced by Steven Spielberg, the series will center on a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family, after she returns home after a year in space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.<\/p>\n

\"Extant<\/a>After spending a year in space, where she lived and conducted strange experiments, astronaut Molly Watts (Halle Berry) tries to resume a normal life with her family consisting of her husband, John, a gifted scientist, and Ethan, their son, a boy like no the other. He is not their biological son as Molly is infertile. Ethan was designed by his father as the first prototype of a future line of \u201cHumanichs\u201d, \u201chuman robots\u201d. But the return of Molly will have dramatic consequences for the entire planet and the fate of mankind.<\/p>\n

Also cast in the series are Goran Visnjic, Josh Malina, Grace Gummer, Camryn Manheim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Louis Gossett Jr., Tami Roman, Annie Wersching<\/strong> and Michael O\u2019Neill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
