Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment has released a new image of Ben Affleck in the Batsuit in \u201cBatman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

The image is part of a 75th anniversary montage of Batman images created for Comic-Con that shows the character\u2019s various representations on film, TV and as games, toys and clothing. The photo can be seen at DC\u2019s booth on the show floor of the San Diego Convention Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, as fans have started pointing out, within the dozens of photos and illustrations on the wall is a brand new image of Batman from the upcoming film \u2018Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,\u2019\u201d the company wrote on its blog on DCComics.com. \u201cThe filmmakers wanted to include this new cinematic version of the Dark Knight in the anniversary mosaic so it could be discovered by fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Filming is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures\u2019 \u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,\u201d the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent\/Superman, and Ben Affleck as BruceWayne\/Batman.<\/p>\n

\u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice\u201d also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince\/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from \u201cMan of Steel,\u201d Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice\u201dis written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n

Principal photography will take place on location at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Michigan; Illinois; Africa; and the South Pacific.<\/p>\n

Set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, \u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice\u201d is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.<\/p>\n\n
