\"Wood<\/a>Wood Harris<\/strong> and rapper\/ actor T.I<\/strong> are the latest actors joining the Marvel family as Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California, on its newest Super Hero franchise Marvel\u2019s \u201cAnt-Man.\u201d<\/strong> The film brings one of Marvel comics\u2019 original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The production also shoots on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film\u2019s production.<\/p>\n

Set for release in the United States on July 17, 2015, the film is directed by Peyton Reed <\/strong>(\u201cBring it On,\u201d \u201cThe Break-Up\u201d) and stars Paul Rudd<\/strong> (\u201cI Love You Man,\u201d \u201cRole Models\u201d) as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas <\/strong>(\u201cBehind The Candelabra,\u201d \u201cWall Street\u201d) as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly<\/strong> (\u201cThe Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,\u201d \u201cLost\u201d) as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym.<\/p>\n

Based on the Marvel comic character first published in 1962, Marvel\u2019s \u201cAnt-Man\u201d continues the lineage of epic big-screen adventures chronicled in Marvel\u2019s \u201cIron Man,\u201d \u201cThe Incredible Hulk,\u201d \u201cIron Man 2,\u201d \u201cThor,\u201d \u201cCaptain America: The First Avenger,\u201d \u201cMarvel\u2019s The Avengers,\u201d \u201cIron Man 3,\u201d \u201cThor: The Dark World,\u201d \u201cCaptain America: The Winter Soldier,\u201d \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d and the upcoming Marvel\u2019s \u201cAvengers: Age of Ultron.\u201d<\/p>\n

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.<\/p>\n
