Making its World Premiere at the 18th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival in New York City\u00a0is director Kiara C. Jones\u2019<\/strong> debut feature \u201cChristmas Wedding Baby.\u201d<\/strong> In this romantic dramedy, a bride-to-be discovers that her first love has been hired as her wedding photographer.<\/p>\n

Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Kiara C. Jones, \u2018CWB\u2019 is a crowd-funded production that will co-star Lisa Arrindell Anderson <\/strong>(\u201dMadea\u2019s Family Reunion\u201d) Kimberley Drummond<\/strong> (\u201cHunger Games Catching Fire\u201d) and Maria Howell <\/strong>(\u201cRevolution, Devious Maids\u201d) in an ensemble cast.<\/p>\n

Christmas Wedding Baby will premiere at the 18th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival at the AMC Theatre on 34th St and 8th Ave in New York City at 4:45 pm EST Friday Sept 19th 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Break out star of the film is Kimberley Drummond<\/strong> in her debut leading lady role as wide eyed romantic, Andrea. After recurring roles in \u201cThe Vampire Diaries,\u201d \u201cThe Game,\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cRecitfy\u201d<\/strong> Drummond landed a key role in \u201cThe Hunger Games Catching Fire,\u201d before bringing her talents to CWB.<\/p>\n

\"Christmas<\/a><\/p>\n

Sawandi Wilson<\/strong>, \u201cBattle of the Year,\u201d also takes on his first leading role as lusty photographer, Gabe.<\/p>\n

Maria Howell<\/strong> co-stars as Miranda, the powerhouse matriarch with cougar tendencies and a habit of meddling in her daughter\u2019s lives\u2013for better or worse. Howell\u2019s first film appearance was in \u201cThe Color Purple,\u201d as a choir singer and has continued to advance her career on stage and screen.<\/p>\n

Actress Lisa Arrindell Anderson<\/strong>, just off the set of \u201cDrumline 2: A New Beat\u201d<\/strong> plays the role of eldest sister and globe-trotting career woman, Lori. Actresses Frances Turner, Rita Manyette<\/strong> and actors Stephen Hill Jason Vendryes, Tad Jennings<\/strong> and Maba Ba<\/strong>, round out the ensemble cast. The film was shot on location in the city of Jacksonville, Fl by Cinematographer Leonardo D\u2019Antoni<\/strong>. \u2018CWB\u2019 had casting assistance from Marishka S. Phillips<\/strong> and is produced by Ralph K. Scott<\/strong> and Kiara C Jones with Executive Producer Chann Harris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Kiara<\/a>Already establishing a proven record of success in the independent film industry, Kiara C. Jones was selected by The Huffington Post as one of 12 emerging filmmakers to watch in 2013. This year, Jones\u2019 short-film \u2018The Other Side of the Game\u2019<\/strong> premiered at Tribeca Film Festival as one of five winners in the Bombay Sapphire Imagination Series: Film competition.<\/p>\n
