Last night, Blackfilm.com attended the Lunar Eclipse party for the DVD release of the FX series The Strain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Created and executive produced by Guillermo del Toro<\/strong>, and based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy of the same title written by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, The Strain tells the story of \u201cDr. Ephraim Goodweather,\u201d the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.<\/p>\n

\"Mia<\/a><\/p>\n

The series stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland<\/strong>, and Miguel Gomez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In attendance with cast members Mia Maestro, Natalie Brown, Robert Maillet, Robin A. Downes<\/strong><\/p>\n

After fans of the show were treated to drinks by Reyka and Montelobos, they were treated to a performance by Mia Maestro, who perfomed some songs from her debut album Si Agua, which was also released on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n
