\"25ARRAY, <\/strong>the multi-platform distribution label of the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), will be releasing Mike Brown<\/strong>\u2019s documentary 25 TO LIFE<\/strong>, a gripping and deeply moving portrait of a Philadelphia man\u2019s struggle with HIV, for a one-week engagement in Los Angeles on November 28, 2014<\/strong>, along with a series of one-night engagements across the country including New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Chicago beginning on December 1<\/strong> to coincide with World AIDS Day.<\/p>\n

The film\u00a0had its\u00a0premiere at the American Black Film Festival <\/b>this past summer.<\/p>\n

25 TO LIFE tells the story of William Brauner – a Philadelphia based man who kept his HIV status a secret for over 25 years. As a child, Brawner was infected due to a blood transfusion, but told by his mother to keep his illness a secret. And he did, right into adulthood, going so far as to hide his status from sexual partners, friends and more. But when William decides to face HIV head on and inform his former girlfriends, partners and more about his status, he has to face the decisions he’s made directly. Meanwhile, William also learns about what it means to live openly with HIV.<\/p>\n

25 TO LIFE is supported by Sundance Institute, Cinereach, The GoodPitch, IFP, Firelight Media Lab, and Tribeca All Access and is the 2014 American Black Film Festival Grand Prize Jury winner.<\/p>\n
