\"Powers<\/a><\/p>\n

Playstation Network has released a new behind-the-scenes from its latest series, Powers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The show stars Sharlto Copley<\/strong> and Susan Heyward <\/strong>(The Following) in the lead roles of Detectives Christian Walker<\/strong> and Deena Pilgrim<\/strong>. Also featured in the series are Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl, Adam Godley as Captain Cross, Max Fowler as Krispin Stockley, Eddie Izzard as \u201cBig Bad\u201d Wolfe, Logan Browning as Zora, Noah Taylor as Johnny Royalle and Olesya Rulin as Calista.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPowers,\u201d written by Brian Michael Bendis<\/strong> and drawn by Michael Avon Oeming<\/strong>, follows two detectives as they investigate superhero-related homicides. The series launched in 2004 through Image Comics and is now published by Marvel\u2019s Icon imprint.<\/p>\n

\"Powers<\/a><\/p>\n

Deena Pilgrim begins the series as a rookie \u2013 a lowly police officer on the streets of Chicago, under a corrupt captain named Adlard (who worked for Mama Joon, a powerful crime boss). Adlard was murdered 7 years prior, just before Deena\u2019s transfer request to work with Walker as part of the Powers Homicide department. Little else is known of her past, though she reveals in the comic that her brother was a Power called \u201cHoodwink\u201d. Deena\u2019s character is further described as attractive, rambunctious, funny, agile, smart, a pro with various combat weapons and fighting styles. \u2013 via Shadow and Act<\/a><\/p>\n

Launch on the PlayStation Network this December, Charlie Huston <\/strong>wrote the first episode as David Slade <\/strong>(30 Days of Night and Hannibal) directed the first two episodes of the series. Bendis, Oeming and Michael Dinner<\/strong> will executive produce \u201dPowers\u201d with Huston and Remi Aubuchon, along with Circle of Confusion\u2019s David Engel, David Alpert and Lawrence Mattis. Huston and Aubuchon will serve as show runners.<\/p>\n
