The film marks the debut for stars <strong>James \u2018Primo\u2019 Grant<\/strong> and <strong>John Diaz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After John\u2019s absent father is struck by a stray bullet, Primo takes it upon himself to verse the young boy in the code of the streets\u2014one founded on respect and upheld by fear. A member of the Bloods since the age of twelve\u2014both in the film and in reality\u2014the streets of Brooklyn are all Primo has ever known. Director Keith Miller observes the lives of these two men with a quiet yet pointed distance, carefully eschewing worn clich\u00e9s through its unflinching focus.
