TV One has released the trailer to its\u00a0original movie,\u00a0Girlfriends’ Getaway 2, <\/strong>which will premiere\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Saturday, Aug. 29\u00a0at\u00a08 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Executive produced and directed by\u00a0Roger Bobb,\u00a0<\/strong>the sequel brings back the original cast\u00a0Garcelle Beauvais\u00a0<\/strong>(The Jamie Foxx Show),\u00a0Terri J. Vaughn\u00a0<\/strong>(The Steve Harvey Show),\u00a0Malinda Willams\u00a0<\/strong>(Soul Food) and\u00a0Essence Atkins\u00a0<\/strong>(Haunted House).<\/p>\n

In the first film, the story centered on four friends (Vicky, Sophie, Lauren and Camille)\u00a0who take a trip to the Caribbean to celebrate two of their friends\u2019 birthdays. One thing leads to another and they get into a bit of trouble.<\/p>\n

This time,\u00a0the\u00a0four girlfriends travel to Puerto Rico for a destination wedding, only to face chaos when a simple affair turns into extravagant, expensive nuptials.<\/p>\n

Beauvais\u00a0stars as Vicki, a 40-something successful real-estate agent who is one week away from marrying her handsome, yet conservative high school teacher fianc\u00e9, Garrett (Stephen Bishop).\u00a0The low-key wedding turns into a disaster as best friend Camille, a freelance blogger played by\u00a0Williams,\u00a0loses sight of the true meaning of marriage and encourages her to kick-it up a notch for a four-page magazine spread.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Joined by Camille\u00a0and fellow best friends Sophie (Vaughn) and Lauren (Atkins) five days before her wedding, Vicki\u2019s\u00a0intimate affair goes off-the-rails with the support of wedding coordinator Marie Nunez (Xiona R. Nieves-Vargas)\u00a0as she upgrades everything without consulting her fianc\u00e9.\u00a0But the problems in Puerto Rico aren\u2019t just Vicki\u2019s,\u00a0as Sophie, a fiery second-time mom, is on a mission to shed the baby weight, and manage her marriage to Kyle (Khalil Kain).\u00a0And Lauren (Atkins), a Zen-loving, free-spirited yogi attempts celibacy after a year-long self-realization journey, but finds it difficult when she meets Antonio (Eli Cay).<\/strong><\/p>\n
