FX has released a teaser for its upcoming limited series, American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson<\/strong>, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.<\/strong> as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta<\/strong> as defense attorney Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance<\/strong> as Johnnie Cochran,\u00a0Sarah Paulson<\/strong> as prosecutor Marcia Clark,\u00a0David Schwimmer<\/strong> as defense attorney Robert Kardashian, and\u00a0Billy Magnussen<\/strong> as Kato Kaelin.<\/p>\n

American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson\u00a0is based on the book \u201cThe Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson<\/strong>\u201d by Jeffrey Toobin, the limited series is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers. It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD\u2019s history with the city\u2019s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.<\/p>\n

American Crime Story\u00a0hails from Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning producer and Emmy Award-winning Director Ryan Murphy (\u201cAmerican Horror Story,\u201d \u201cThe Normal Heart\u201d) will direct the first episode and serve as Executive Producer, along with Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Brad Falchuk.<\/p>\n
