\nNetflix has released a final\u00a0trailer\u00a0to Cary Fukunaga<\/strong>‘s ‘Beasts Of No Nation,’ <\/strong>which stars Idris Elba and newcomer\u00a0Abraham Attah.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Attah <\/strong>was recently\u00a0awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the\u00a072nd Venice Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Netflix and Bleecker Street will release the film on Friday, October 16, the same day in 19 Landmark theatres in the U.S. and worldwide on Netflix in all territories where the network is available.<\/p>\n

Landmark theatre markets include: New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego.<\/p>\n

\"Beasts<\/a><\/p>\n

An adaptation of Uzodinma Iweala<\/strong>\u2019s bestselling novel. The story follows the journey of a young boy, Agu, who, when civil war engulfs his West African country is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters. Not only must Agu face the death of his father and disappearance of his mother and sister, but must also join a life of violence and brutality. Agu befriends a mute boy named Strika and together they face the crimes and hardships of war. Elba plays the lead role of Commandant.<\/p>\n

Elba also joins Red Crown Productions\u2019 Daniela Taplin Lundberg<\/strong> and Riva Marker<\/strong>, Parliament Of Owls\u2019 Cary Fukunaga<\/strong> and Primary Productions principal Amy Kaufman<\/strong> as producers on the film. Daniel Crown<\/strong> and Bill Benenson<\/strong> will serve as executive producers. Red Crown is funding the film.<\/p>\n
