Beginning November 13, Array will open <strong>Sara Blecher\u2019s AYANDA<\/strong> and <strong>Takeshi Fukunaga\u2019s OUT OF MY HAND<\/strong> in Los Angeles and New York City followed by a national tour to include Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Seattle, Houston and Boston.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/AYANDA-AND-THE-MECHANIC.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignleft size-medium wp-image-71860\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/AYANDA-AND-THE-MECHANIC-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"AYANDA AND THE MECHANIC\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAYANDA and OUT OF MY HAND are films that represent the breadth and width of diverse filmmaking. Blecher centers the film on a young woman\u2019s journey of self-discovery as she struggles to save her father\u2019s car repair shop along with her memory of him. This film held its world premiere screening at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival winning the Special Jury Prize in the World Fiction Competition.<\/p>\n<p>OUT OF MY HAND takes viewers inside the humble life of a Liberian rubber plantation worker. Fukunaga\u2019s film depicts the severe working conditions, failed unionization and corporate corruption that drive one man away from his family and his country to the foreign streets of New York City where his past forces him to confront his sense of isolation and belonging.
