After premiering\u00a0the pilot on November 5 for a month, Variety<\/a> states that\u00a0Amazon Prime<\/strong> has ordered 10 episodes of GOOD GIRLS REVOLT,<\/strong> produced by Amazon and TriStar Television.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the landmark sexual discrimination cases chronicled in Lynn Povich<\/strong>\u2019s book, The Good Girls Revolt<\/strong>, the pilot was written and created by Dana Calvo<\/strong>, directed by Liza Johnson<\/strong>, and executive produced by Calvo, Linda Obst, Darlene Hunt, Don Kurt<\/strong> and Jeff Okin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The pilot featured Grace Gummer, Jim Belushi, Joy Bryant<\/strong>, Pitch Perfect’s Anna Camp<\/strong>, Weeds’ Hunter Parrish<\/strong>, Silicon Valley’s Chris Diamantopoulos, Erin Darke<\/strong> and Genevieve Angelson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Set in 1969, Good Girls Revolt follows a group of young female researchers at “News of the Week” who seek to be treated fairly, a pursuit that ultimately upends marriages, careers and various relationships.<\/p>\n

Among the roles, Camp stars as Jane, a highly skilled, couture wearing and straight arrow star researcher at the mag. Genevieve Angelson plays Patti Robinson, described as a wild-haired tenacious researcher and an adventurous flower child who just back to New York after a transformative six months in San Francisco. Joy Bryant plays civil rights activist Eleanor Holmes Norton, Gummer plays Nora Ephron and Belushi is Wick McFadden.<\/p>\n
