During tonight’s DC Films Presents: The Dawn of the Justice League special, Warner Bros. aired a new trailer\u00a0to writer and director David Ayer<\/strong>‘s Suicide Squad.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever wanted to be BAD? Well, this squad knows exactly how to be BAD. The film will hit theaters on August 5, 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film stars Will Smith<\/strong> as Deadshot; Joel Kinnaman<\/strong> as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie<\/strong> as Harley Quinn; Jai Courtney<\/strong> as Captain Boomerang; Cara Delevingne<\/strong> as Enchantress; Karen Fukuhara<\/strong> as Katana; Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje<\/strong> as Killer Croc; Jay Hernandez<\/strong> as El DIablo; Adam Beach<\/strong> as Slipknot; Viola Davis <\/strong>as Amanda Waller and Jared Leto<\/strong>\u2018s Joker.<\/p>\n

Also featured in the film are Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Raymond Olubowale, Alex Meraz, Jim Parrack<\/strong>, and Common.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Suicide<\/a>Originally created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru<\/strong> back in 1959, the group was retooled into its current iteration as villains working off their sentence by John Ostrander<\/strong>. The team has included countless DC villains (and heroes) among its ranks throughout the years. It\u2019s also been a staple of recent DC media. The CW\u2019s hit series \u201cArrow\u201d introduced their own version of the team in the most recent season of the series and the recent animated film, Batman: Assault on Arkham, offered another version of the team.<\/p>\n

The film is being produced by Charles Roven<\/strong> (The Dark Knight trilogy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Richard Suckle<\/strong> (American Hustle). Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson<\/strong> and Geoff Johns<\/strong> are serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n
