During tonight\u2019s DC Films Presents: The Dawn of the Justice League special, Warner Bros. aired new footage to\u00a0Wonder Woman,\u00a0<\/strong>the highly anticipated action adventure from director Patty Jenkins<\/strong> (\u201cMonster,\u201d AMC\u2019s \u201cThe Killing\u201d), starring Gal Gadot<\/strong> (the \u201cFast & Furious\u201d movies) in the role of Diana Prince\/Wonder Woman.<\/p>\n

The character will make her big screen debut this spring in \u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/a>,\u201d <\/strong>but the new film will mark her first time headlining a feature.<\/p>\n

The film also stars Chris Pine<\/strong> (the \u201cStar Trek\u201d films) as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright<\/strong> (\u201cThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,\u201d Netflix\u2019s \u201cHouse of Cards\u201d), Danny Huston<\/strong> (\u201cClash of the Titans,\u201d \u201cX-Men Origins: Wolverine\u201d), David Thewlis<\/strong> (the \u201cHarry Potter\u201d films, \u201cThe Theory of Everything\u201d), Ewen Bremner<\/strong> (\u201cExodus: Gods and Kings,\u201d \u201cSnowpiercer\u201d), Sa\u00efd Taghmaoui<\/strong> (\u201cAmerican Hustle\u201d), Elena Anaya<\/strong> (\u201cThe Skin I Live In\u201d)\u00a0Lucy Davis<\/strong> (\u201cShaun of the Dead\u201d), and\u00a0Connie Nielsen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Wonder<\/a><\/p>\n

The film is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder<\/strong>, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns<\/strong> and Rebecca Roven<\/strong> serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n

Joining Jenkins behind the camera are director of photography Matthew Jensen<\/strong> (\u201cChronicle,\u201d \u201cFantastic Four,\u201d HBO\u2019s \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d), Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto<\/strong> (\u201cAm\u00e9lie,\u201d \u201cA Very Long Engagement,\u201d \u201cPan\u201d), and Oscar-winning editor Martin Walsh<\/strong> (\u201cChicago,\u201d \u201cJack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,\u201d \u201cV for Vendetta\u201d), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming<\/strong> (\u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d trilogy, \u201cTopsy-Turvy\u201d).<\/p>\n

Principal photography will take place on location in the UK, France and Italy.<\/p>\n

Set to open in 2017, the Wonder Woman feature film is based on characters created by William Moulton Marston<\/strong>, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.<\/p>\n
