Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have released the first trailer for The Purge: Election Year, the third chapter in the \u201cPurge\u201d franchise.<\/p>\n

Hitting theaters on July 1, 2016, Frank Grillo<\/strong>, who starred in the second film, The Purge: Anarchy<\/strong>, returns to reprise his role as Sargeant. He is joined by Elizabeth Mitchell, Mykelti Williamson, Betty Gabriel, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Secor, Joseph Julian Soria<\/strong> and Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hodge is the only actor to appear in all 3 films as The Stranger.<\/strong><\/p>\n
