The Weinstein Company has released a\u00a0teaser trailer to its upcoming boxing drama \u201cHands of Stone,\u201d<\/strong> starring Edgar Ramirez<\/strong> as Roberto Duran and Usher Raymond<\/strong> as Sugar Ray Leonard.<\/p>\n

Written and directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz<\/strong>, HANDS OF STONE follows the life of Roberto Duran (Edgar Ramirez), the Panamanian fighter who made his professional debut in 1968 as a 16 year\u2010old and retired in 2002 at the age of 50. In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond) to capture the WBC welterweight title, but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in their November rematch, famously saying the words \u201cno mas\u201d (no more.)<\/p>\n

Robert De Niro<\/strong> also stars as Duran’s trainer, Ray Arcel, with Ellen Barkin, Ruben Blades, John Turturro<\/strong> and Ana de Armas<\/strong> also featured in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cHands of Stone\u201d is produced by Jay Weisleder, Carlos Garcia de Paredes, Claudine Jakubowicz<\/strong> of La Piedra Films. The executive producers include Ben Silverman, Max Keller, George Edee, Ricardo del Rio<\/strong> and Roberto Duran\u2019s son, Robin Duran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hands Of Stone hits theaters on August 26.<\/p>\n
