Studio Canal has released two new clips and a featurette\u00a0to the action thriller ‘Bastille Day,’<\/strong> starring Idris Elba<\/strong> and Game Of Thrones’ Richard Madden<\/strong>. The film was directed by James Watkins<\/strong> from a script by Andrew Baldwin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The story centers on Michael Mason (Madden), an American small-time thief living in Paris who accidentally becomes a target for the CIA when he steals a bag that contains some explosives, which of course he isn’t aware of initially. Sean Briar (Elba), the CIA agent on the case, has to determine Mason’s guilt or innocence, as he soon uncovers a much larger conspiracy, and will use Mason as a pawn to get to the root of it all, within a 24-hour deadline. Also featured in the film are Charlotte Le Bon<\/strong> and Kelly Reilly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Focus Features has acquired North American distribution rights and yet to set a US release date. Philippe Rousselet<\/strong> produced the film via his Vendome Pictures banner, along with Steve Golin, David Kanter,<\/strong> and Bard Dorros<\/strong> for Anonymous Content.<\/p>\n

Studiocanal will distribute the film in the UK on April followed by dates in France (July 13), Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.<\/p>\n
