Justin Lin<\/strong>, best known for directing\u00a0four of\u00a0the seven \u201cFast and Furious\u201d<\/strong> films, is in talks to direct \u201cSpace Jam 2,\u201d <\/strong>starring NBA player LeBron James<\/strong>, for Warner Bros.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0original 1996\u00a0film, a live action\/animation\u00a0comedy that earned $230.4 million worldwide, starred former NBL player and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and a collection of Looney Tunes cartoon characters who teamed up to play a basketball game against aliens threatening their freedom.<\/p>\n

Lin, Andrew Dodge<\/strong> and Alfredo Botello<\/strong> are writing the script for the film, which Charlie Ebersol<\/strong> is producing.<\/p>\n

James made his acting debut opposite Amy Schumer\u00a0<\/strong>in the Judd Apatow<\/strong> comedy \u201cTrainwreck,\u201d<\/strong> where he played himself.<\/p>\n

Lin’s next film is \u201cStar Trek Beyond,\u201d<\/strong> which comes out this summer.<\/p>\n
