The film company acquired the rights to her biography, <strong>Life In Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Copeland made history by becoming the first African American woman to be promoted to principal dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre. Titans also had the distinction to be the first African-American scripted drama ever to gross over 100 million dollars.
