Last night, Blackfilm.com attended the premiere to the upcoming third season of Starz’s hit series Power<\/strong>, which moves to Sunday nights at 9pm starting July 17.<\/p>\n

The first episode was shown at The SVA theater\u00a0followed by\u00a0the after-party, \u00a0held at the Top of the Standard at the Standard, Highline.<\/p>\n

‘Power’ stars Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson, Andy Bean, Jerry Ferrara, Lucy Walters, Adam Huss, Luis Antonio Ramos, La La Anthony, J.R. Ramirez, Debbi Morgan, Shane Johnson, and Enrique Murciano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Executive Producer Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson and show creator Courtney A. Kemp (Emmy-nominated for \u201cThe Good Wife\u201d) present the anticipated third season of the hit drama \u201cPower,\u201d steeped in the seductive nightlife of New York\u2019s elite and the violent underworld of international drug cartels.<\/p>\n

Season 3 finds James St. Patrick as the owner of new nightclubs, out of the drug game, and in a rekindled relationship with his first love, Angela\u2014the Assistant United States Attorney sworn to bring him to justice. But just as they begin to believe James\u2019 past criminal persona of \u2018Ghost\u2019 may finally be behind them, both are forced to face the consequences of running from a life from which no one gets away clean.<\/p>\n

James\u2019 estranged best friend Tommy has just reunited with his newly returned love, Holly, but he must attempt to not only rebuild Lobos\u2019 devastated drug organization, but to kill Ghost\u2014turning brother against brother.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s on the verge of having everything he\u2019s ever wanted, but will this new phase of James St. Patrick\u2019s life end before it begins with old sins and the specter of \u2018Ghost\u2019 coming back to haunt him?<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that the current season of HBO’s \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d<\/strong> and Showtime\u2019s \u201cPenny Dreadful\u201d<\/strong> will be over by then.<\/p>\n
