Warner Bros. Pictures, through EW<\/a>, released a new image of Fionn Whitehead\u00a0for the epic action thriller \u201cDunkirk.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0France.<\/p>\n

Christopher Nolan<\/strong> (\u201cInterstellar,\u201d \u201cInception,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d Trilogy) is directing \u201cDunkirk\u201d from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cDunkirk\u201d opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.<\/p>\n

\u201cDunkirk\u201d features a prestigious cast, including Tom Hardy<\/strong> (\u201cThe Revenant,\u201d \u201cMad Max: Fury Road,\u201d \u201cInception\u201d), Mark Rylance<\/strong> (\u201cBridge of Spies,\u201d \u201cWolf Hall\u201d), Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> (\u201cMy Week with Marilyn,\u201d \u201cHamlet,\u201d \u201cHenry V\u201d) and Cillian Murphy<\/strong> (\u201cInception,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d Trilogy), as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead<\/strong>. The ensemble cast also includes Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D\u2019Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan<\/strong> and Tom Glynn-Carney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Dunkirk<\/a><\/p>\n

The film is being produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas<\/strong> (\u201cInterstellar,\u201d \u201cInception,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d Trilogy). Jake Myers<\/strong> (\u201cThe Revenant,\u201d \u201cInterstellar,\u201d \u201cJack Reacher\u201d) is serving as executive producer.<\/p>\n

The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema<\/strong> (\u201cInterstellar,\u201d \u201cSpectre,\u201d \u201cThe Fighter\u201d), production designer Nathan Crowley<\/strong> (\u201cInterstellar,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d Trilogy), editor Lee Smith<\/strong> (\u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d Trilogy, \u201cElysium\u201d), costume designer Jeffrey Kurland<\/strong> (\u201cInception,\u201d \u201cBullets Over Broadway\u201d), and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson<\/strong> (\u201cMad Max: Fury Road\u201d).<\/p>\n

Warner Bros. Pictures is distributing \u201cDunkirk\u201d worldwide and has slated the film for a July 21, 2017 release.<\/p>\n
