Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for M. Night Shyamalan’s Split<\/strong>, starring James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula<\/strong>, and Haley Lu Richardson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Split hits theaters on January 20, 2017.<\/p>\n

Writer\/director\/producer M. Night Shyamalan returns to the captivating grip of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable<\/strong> and Signs<\/strong> with Split<\/strong>, an original film that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man\u2019s fractured, gifted mind. Following last year\u2019s breakout hit The Visit, Shyamalan reunites with producer Jason Blum<\/strong> (The Purge and Insidious series, The Gift) for the thriller being hailed as \u201cShyamalan\u2019s most terrifying film to date.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities\u2014each with unique physical attributes\u2014to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him\u2014as well as everyone around him\u2014as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.<\/p>\n

For the film The Guardian calls \u201ca masterful blend of Hitchcock and horror,\u201d Shyamalan and Blum reassemble their core team from The Visit, the No. 1-grossing horror film of 2015.
