Here are photos from Episode 2 of Season 4 of BET’s\u00a0hit series Being Mary Jane, <\/strong>which airs at 10pm.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Created by The Game\u2018s Mara Brock Akil, Being Mary Jane follows the sometimes disastrous personal and professional life of news anchor Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

For Season 4, Union, Jeff Morrone, Will Packer<\/strong> and Erica Shelton-Kodish<\/strong> will executive produce, with Shelton-Kodish also serving as showrunner.<\/p>\n

Coming back are Lisa Vidal, Richard Roundtree, Margaret Avery, Richard Brooks, BJ Britt Jr.<\/strong> and Raven Goodwin<\/strong>. Among Season 4 additions are Michael Ealy, Valarie Pettiford, Ashton Holmes<\/strong>,\u00a0Chik\u00e9 Okonkwo,\u00a0Cardi B., and Nicholas Gonzalez.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In season four, when Kara (Lisa Vidal) helps her land a gig as correspondent on \u201cGreat Day USA,\u201d a national morning news show in New York City, Mary Jane Paul makes the move to achieve her lifetime career goal of becoming a national lead anchor. At \u201cGreat Day,\u201d Mary Jane meets her idol, veteran lead anchor Ronda Sales (Valarie Pettiford), and realizes that working closely with your heroes isn\u2019t all it\u2019s cracked up to be. Things are further complicated when her old nemesis, Justin Talbot (Michael Ealy), appears as a new producer.<\/p>\n

Along with the new job and city, Mary Jane resolves to start fresh in every way possible, including her love life. She quickly falls for Lee Truitt (Chik\u00e9 Okonkwo), a successful stand-up comedian from the UK who tests Mary Jane\u2019s preconceived notions about what (or who) she needs in her life. Back in Atlanta, the Patterson\u2019s deal with the fallout from Niecy\u2019s (Raven Goodwin) run-in with the police. With Mary Jane in New York, they grow closer as they realize their new roles within the family and do what they can to step up to the plate for one another.<\/p>\n

Holmes will portray Garrett Keswick, Great Day\u2019s producer and show runner. Love & Hip Hop\u2018s Cardi B.<\/strong> will appear in one episode as a reality star named Mercedes, who’s a \u201cround-the-way beauty with a big weave, big boobs and a big booty to match her oversized, ratchet personality.\u201d Additionally, Vanessa Angel<\/strong> (Stargate SG-1) will recur as Olivia Bianchi, a real estate agent who becomes a mentor figure to Mary Jane\u2019s brother Paul.<\/p>\n
