Blackfilm.com has been provided with a exclusive\u00a0photo\u00a0of Eriq La Salle and Hugh Jackman<\/strong>\u00a0in director James Mangold’s\u00a0upcoming film\u00a0‘Logan,’<\/strong> starring Hugh Jackman<\/strong> in his final turn as the character. Jackman has played the role nine times on the big screen.<\/p>\n

This is the third Wolverine film following 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine<\/strong> and 2013’s The Wolverine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Directed by James Mangold<\/strong> (The Wolverine) from a script by David James Kelly<\/strong>, the film also stars Sienna Novikov, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, Elizabeth Rodriguez<\/strong> and Patrick Stewart<\/strong>. Stewart is reprising his role as Charles Xavier\/ Professor X.<\/p>\n

Set in the near future, the film follows a weary Logan (Jackman) as he cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart)\u00a0in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan\u2019s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant named Laura arrives, being pursued by dark forces.<\/p>\n

Holbrook\u00a0plays Donald Pierce, the villainous leader of The Reavers. Merchant plays Caliban, a mutant who helps Logan with taking care of Charles Xavier.<\/p>\n

Without revealing any more details, La Salle\u00a0and Neal\u00a0plays husband and wife\u00a0Will and\u00a0Kathryn Munson.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La Salle is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Peter Benton on NBC\u2019s\u00a0medical drama ER<\/strong>.\u00a0he\u00a0most recently recurred on CBS\u2019 A Gifted Man, The Widow Man,<\/strong> and\u00a0has also been directing episodes of TV shows such as CSI: Cyber, Madame Secretary, Crisis, Battle Creek<\/strong> and Night Shift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Logan is coming to theaters on March 3, 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n
