HBO has released the poster to its hit series Ballers<\/strong>, starring Dwayne Johnson<\/strong> and will return for its ten-episode third season Sunday, JULY 23.<\/p>\n

Set in Miami, Ballers is a half-hour dramedy centered on a group of current and former professional football players, as well as their families, friends, and handlers. The series goes beyond the game and explores not only the challenges that current players face, but also takes a behind the scenes, real look into their lives both on and off the field.<\/p>\n

Looking at the whirlwind lifestyles and real-life problems of former and current football players, Ballers stars Johnson as ex-superstar Spencer Strasmore. who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for today\u2019s players in sun-soaked Miami. In his new role, he tries to advise his NFL friends financially and professionally, but identifies with the trials they are going through and tries (in vain) to protect them from making the same mistakes he and his teammates made.<\/p>\n

After baring his soul at the rookie symposium and undergoing hip surgery, Spencer Strasmore returns with a new outlook and fresh goals, hoping to forge bonds with new players across the country while improving his relationships with existing clients.<\/p>\n

With league certification in hand, Joe Krutel and Spencer go after a jackpot deal. Ricky Jerret\u2019s newfound discoveries affect his personal and professional life; Vernon Littlefield and Reggie accept a risky endorsement deal; ex-player Charles Greane learns that working in the front office is as rough as playing on the gridiron; and Jason Antolotti continues to orchestrate deals to satisfy both players\u2019 bank accounts and their oversized egos.<\/p>\n

In an ever-changing business where the shelf life for stardom and multi-million-dollar contracts are short, Spencer is intent on proving that the key to successful sports management isn\u2019t just about making money and having fun \u2013 it\u2019s about delivering on the promises you make.<\/p>\n
