The 10-episode gritty drama series executive produced by<strong> Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson <\/strong>and his G-Unit Film &amp; Television, Inc., explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join\u2014only a select few make the cut\u2013but once inside, members will do what they must to protect each other from enemies on the outside and from within their own ranks.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cThe Oath,\u201d Hardrict goes behind the badge as Officer Cole Hammond, a cop whose cool and composed demeanor conceals an underlying sense of paranoia. Raised by white foster parents, Hammond is fueled by an intense dedication to protect the only family he has ever had\u2014putting him at odds with the other members of the Ravens gang.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Arlen-Escarpeta-and-Sean-Bean.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-100066\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 222'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Arlen-Escarpeta-and-Sean-Bean-300x222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hardrict joins an ensemble cast including <strong>Sean Bean<\/strong> (\u201cGame of Thrones\u201d), <strong>Ryan Kwanten <\/strong>(\u201cTrue Blood\u201d) and <strong>Arlen Escarpeta<\/strong> (&#8220;Whitney&#8221;). Bean plays Cole\u2019s adoptive father Tom Hammond\u2014the head of the prominent Ravens cop gang and Kwanten, his brother Steve Hammond, who is the reluctant leader of the gang.<\/p>\n<p>Hardrict will soon be seen in the Netflix original film<strong> &#8220;Naked&#8221; <\/strong>opposite <strong>Marlon Wayans<\/strong>,<strong> &#8220;LAbyrinth&#8221;<\/strong> starring <strong>Johnny Depp <\/strong>and <strong>Forest Whitaker <\/strong>and the film<strong> &#8220;Destined&#8221; <\/strong>out this fall in theaters. His other credits include roles in feature films such as &#8220;<strong>Warm Bodies,&#8221; &#8220;American Sniper,&#8221; &#8220;Lovelace,&#8221;<\/strong> and<strong> &#8220;Spectral<\/strong>,&#8221; and television series<strong> \u201cEastbound &amp; Down,\u201d \u201cNCIS,\u201d \u201cHeroes,\u201d \u201cCSI,\u201d <\/strong>and <strong>\u201cLaw &amp; Order,\u201d<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Oath\u201d is executive produced by Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson and his G-Unit Film &amp; Television Inc., Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim of Storied Media Group, as well as former Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department Deputy Joe Halpin (\u201cHawaii Five-O,\u201d \u201cSecrets And Lies\u201d), who served for over a decade as an undercover cop in South Central and brings an invaluable air of authenticity to the series in his role as series creator, writer, and showrunner. Veteran filmmaker Jeff T.
